As we enter into the final month before school begins in earnest we are excited to announce that our redevelopment projects around campus are nearing completion.

Substantial work has been done to St. Basil’s Hall and the new-look library is truly a sight to behold. Work in the library is 100 per cent complete with new furniture, shelving and HVAC work having been completed. Our students are sure to marvel at the new special collections reading room which is a nice signature addition to the library and the completed installation of a self-checkout is sure to be a hit with students and staff alike. The new air conditioning unit will ensure everyone is cool and comfortable.

Equipment commissioning inspections have been completed in the Classroom building and ceiling tiles have been installed and clean-up is now complete. Everyone has started moving back into their offices and the Learning Centre is officially back up-and-running. The new HVAC system has provided a noticeable upgrade to the temperature in the Classroom building and will certainly allow our students to beat the heat should we experience any more weather advisories going forward!

Thanks to a grant from the Canada 150 Infrastructure Fund, the new air conditioning system has made the Fitness Centre a much cooler and more comfortable place to work out.

Flood mitigation work and foundational upgrades on the Administration Building have been completed as well as the installation of new windows in the Biology Lab.

Work continues on restoration of the former Glassblower’s space for the new Bookstore and related café expansion in the LeFort Centre. As a designated historic building, we are working closely with our Provincial Heritage Advisor on this project.

Come and check out the upgrades!
