Aging Through the Camera: How Older Adults are Portrayed in the Movies

Join us as we examine how older adults are portrayed in the movies.

Over the course of 3 weeks, we will watch 3 different movies together. Focused discussions will explore how older adults are portrayed in general, in friendships, in romantic relationships, and in family relationships.

Join us for some thoughtful and insightful discussions.

Dr. Alisa McArthur is an Associate Professor at St. Mary’s University (StMU), and has been teaching Psychology at StMU for over 15 years. With a research and teaching background in older adulthood and with a love of films, Alisa is thrilled to be leading this series.

Cancellation Policy at StMU:
If you are needing to cancel a registration, refunds are provided up to 7 days prior to a series beginning. A $50 administration fee is retained by StMU for costs incurred.
