Textbook Buybacks and Donations
We host Follett textbook buybacks three times per year, at the end of August, December and April. Bring your unwanted books to the store to have them scanned to determine their value. If you have textbooks that St. Mary’s wishes to purchase, Follett will give you back 50% of the original retail price in cash.
If the textbook is not wanted by the bookstore, Follett might give you wholesale, usually 10% to 20% of the original retail price. Should a title have become obsolete or worthless, you can donate it to Better World Books. A donation box is located outside the store.
Please be aware that textbooks and course packs are only eligible for return until the add/drop date of each term. All items must be in their original condition (packaging), CDs and diskettes must remain in sealed envelopes with the returned textbooks. Your sales receipts are required.
Some items are final sale and not eligible for return, such as calculators, custom orders, computer disks, lab coats, safety goggles, sale items, molecular kits, headphones and USB sticks.
In 2012, we introduced new products to recognize our acquisition of The Saint John’s Bible. We are the only store in Calgary to offer these items for sale to the public. Find out more about the Saint John’s Bible.
